Ever since I was younger, I’ve always been into horror and Halloween. Dressing up in costumes and wearing masks was always so much fun. Disguise myself as something else. That's where my love of masks came in. I was never good at mask making when I was younger and I also never had the resources to make them. The first masks I would make were out of paper. I would draw a character and cut it out. Then I would put a paper strap around it to fit it around my head. It wasn’t the best at all my imagination was running wild. Now I make paper mache masks, and it is the perfect form of art for me. Nothing is better than making masks. The idea of paper mache mask making first came to my mind when I had a job as a scare actor. We had the choice of creating our own costumes and I remembered the masks I would make as a kid. I wanted to make something better, something special. That's where it started and I’m so grateful to be making masks and I hope that you are reading this will help support me in my journey.
